Randy Kennett rap- ped two long doubles in the same inning to pace the Lions attack. In other action, it was Stongs 9 and Skyline 8 in a close match as brothers Rick and Bob Burrowes pitched Stongs to the win.-Stongs has gone along--undeafeated for some time but Capilano Lions whipped them 9 to 2 in a rousing game of baseball. Randy Kennett of the Lions was the major contributor as Stongs was handed their first defeat. Kennett pitched a two-hit complete game and also led the way at the plate with two doubles and three RBI's. Mike MacLeod also drove in three runs with two key singles. In the Minor Little League, Mac’s Stores are out front as they were last year. Ex- perienced coach Jum Rolston with the assistance of Mark Wittig and Gordon Axford have done a fine job of turn- ing out a spirited team. In Peewee, the Dodgers, Indians and Yankees are neck-in-neck in the race to the playoffs. As one dedicated observer pointed out, 1984 has seen a better brand of Little League baseball than in many a moon.
