Prepare to plunge

THE 1998 Penguin Plunge is set for
Jan. 1 at Panorama Park in Deep
Cove.

Last year hundreds of North Shore resi-
dents cnjoyed a refreshing start to the new
year.

The 1998 Penguin Plunge begins at 2 p.m.
with free registration from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Mt. Seymour Lions host a tree concession
stand.

Festivities include the Third Annual
Penguin Plunge Ice Sculpting Compention.
Barefoot water skicrs return with a new
demonstration.

Penguin plungers will be able to warm
their tocs around a giant bontire while listen-

» to Moritz and the Fiddleheads. The event
m f include face painting, balloon making and
other entertainment.

Prizes will be available for best costumes.
