Lonsdale Quay Market and the North Shore News honour these ancient

rituals, customs and cultures with a special festive evening event called
Night of Worldly Delights, on Wednesday Cctober 9, 1996.

Come, bring a friend, and help celebrate the richness of our local diversi-

B.C. growers, chefs, vinters, Lonsdale Quay Merchants and the North,
Shore News, as together they host an exciting line-up of evening delights.

a world of culinary delights. You'll
find live cooking demonstrations
with celebrity chefs, and an awesome
variety of ethnic foods to sample:
Mexican, Japanese, Greek, Italian
and many more. Plus, local vinters
will introduce your palate to some
delightful local wines. Eat and drink

Fall Styles and Festive Dress

To set the mood for an evening -of
diversity and fun, strolling models.
will be dressed in colourful ethnic
dress, as well as the latest in fall styles
and trends from: Out of Africa, -J.

Gregory, Zig Zag, Melrose Avenue
and Seabird Fashions. Models will |
mingle casually with the crowd on
the second floor, as a sophisticated
line-up of multiculrural music sere-
nades the night away.

Proceeds for the upcoming event will:
go to help the good works of the
North Shere Multicultural Society
which promotes equal access and
opportunities for all ethnic groups.
The Society encourages the integra-
tion and active participation: in
Canadian society and provides con-
sultation and information on multi-
culturalism, anti-racism and immi-
gration settlement issues to govern-
ment agencies, local. Municipalities,
school boards and community agen-
