The study looked at documents of: 696 _ bites reported at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri in 1976-77. The study found there were 1,390 animal bites per 100,000 peopie - 1.7 times the amount in urban areas, the authors said.
