“These results are ex-
cellent because we're not
just talking about 20 or 30
schools. There were 78
qualifying out of 110 and
around 800 = individual
swimmers,” says North
Shore high school swimming
chairman Briar Ballou.

Handsworth Royals won
third place, while Argyle
Pipers captured sixth place
and Windsor Dukes were
10th. Two Coquitlam
schools, Centennial and

respectively.

Royals swim coach Ed
Pedersen explained. that
North Shore schools
traditionally have done well,
noting that Windsor has won
the championship the last
couple of years and Sentinel
has been a championship
squad also. The Royals have
been runners up in recent
meets.
