Thomas J. Storey turned out his first car for the 1911 season called the Brockville 30 which, In 1914, they produced the cars equipped with Rutenber engines, because the Atlas engine, which had been so successful, was no longer available. Disco self- starters were made available at extra cost, and the Atlas as it became known, was one of the first cars to feature internal brakes protecting the linings from mud and water. After producing = ap- proximately 300 cars and marketing them from coast to coast, the Brockville Atlas Company was hit by lagging sales, and a parts shortage, as a result of the First World War, and was forced to cease operations. In November 1915, Benjamin Briscoe took over the production facilities of Brockville-Atias, and started producing the Canadian Briscoe in the old Brockville Plant. 2 biks west of Second Norrows Bridge SPRING SALE © ALL MAKES 988-7172 y Service is our Business because of the close ties Carriage Factories had with the Tudhope Carriage Co. in Orillia, was in reality an Everitt.
