Tyee skiers sweep Seymour slalom

THREE TYEE Shi Club racers swept the recent Tyee Ski Club

Pepsi J-3 Race for the 1} and 12-vear-olds, hosted by

Seymour Ski Club.

cond and third places out of 79 boys racing that day.

Hockey Chiefs humble Seamen

THE NORTH Shore Chiefs con-
tinued their slow climb from the
bottom of North Shore Industrial
Hockey League standings this
weekend by defeating the Sailor
Hagar Seamen 9-4.

place in the standings, the
Pemberton Station Steamers in-

creased its unbeaten streak to nine
games after edging the Avalon
Kings 3-2. The win eventually
moved the Steamers to second
place overall.

The third game of the weekend
saw the ABC Hustlers beat Raven
Rangers 4-3 on a power play goal
by Doug Payette with 17 seconds
left in the game.

Point standings to date are as
follows:

ABC Hustlers — 29 (18 games);
Steamers — 27 (19); Raven
Rangers — 26 (18); Avalon Kings
— 23 (18); Jack Lonsdafe Flyers
— 16 (19); Sailor Hagar Seamen
