In Faces and Vessels of Creation,
which opened last night, Barry
displays a new series of acrylics on
stretched linen that depict various
shaped vessels, vases and bowls —
symbolic representations of sen-
suous moments permeated with a
spiritual presence, he says.

“This may be revealed by the
markings of the -earth’s  at-
mosphere or the: containment of
warm light or hot fire. In these
poetic maps of -human journey |
celebrate a transcendent beauty in
both aspects of awe and terror."

Monica says her work takes the
viewer through an inner world
