Te will be built at 1280 West 16th St. in the Norgate area, one block south of Marine Drive between Pemberton and Bridgman streets. This is an excellent location for those of us who do not or cannot drive a car. Bus service, shopping (Save On, Canadian Tire, McDonalds, ete.) are close at hand and the site is level. Norgate House will be a 36-unit non-profit rental pro- ject for seniors and persons with disabiiities. The building is designed with a sense of community and with barrier-free features that will enable most people to live independently and “age in place.” All the units will be adapr- able and accessible for people with disabilities. Although residents may not have a disabiliry when they move in, if required, cach unit will accommodate their chang- ing physical needs.
