One is the. obvious and
somewhal inipersonal bet
wagering done by thousands

- of Jocals and millions of rae-
ing fans around the globe,

The other is to Ue one's
stake to a small yet significant
part of a single horse.

organizing horse-ownership
syndicates,

He has been involved with
horses for a quarter-century,
and with dine, as more and
more people became interest-
ed, Whyte has built up a note-
worthy track record,

“Over the last two
decades, we've brought in 70
to 80 people that that are now
acilvely involved in the track,”

By spreading the cost
among several individuals,
Whyte says folks can get
invalved without having to
spend an arnt and a leg,

“(It's) like a partnership for
it guy on the street. because
owning a horse is nota chéap
proposition,” said Whyte.

By dividing the cost, the
average syndicate member
spends only 2 fraction of the
horse’s cost, yet receives the
full benefits of horse owner-
ship, including free admission
