CREDIT CARDS are generally
accepted and widely used by Ca-
nadians. One of the responsibilities
that goes with having a credit card
is to ensure that it does not fail in-
to the wrong hands.

If your card is lost or stolen,
that can be a costly and inconve-
nient experience. The following
rules could help.

Never leave your cards unat-
tended at work. There are more

credit card thefts in the workplace
than in any other single location.
Don’t lend your card.
Remember, you are responsible for
your card’s use. And it’s sad but
true that some credit card misuse

‘can be traced directly to family

and friends.
Don’t leave your credit cards in
your car’s glove compartment.
Remember to treat your credit
cards like cash.
