for it. Live longer with lights NORTH VAN - COUVER RCMP has joined West Vancouver Police in proclaiming next week ‘‘Daylighters Live Longer’’ week. Joint efforts of the depart- ments are aimed at encourag- ing motorists to drive with their headlights on during the day as well as the night bet- ween March 25 and 31. Police say drivers who use their headlights during the day increase the visibility of their automobiles and make other drivers more aware of their presence. Experiments in Scandina- vian countries show that driv- ing with headlights on during the day can reduce traffic ac cidents by as much as 20 per cent.
