Van crossing a danger Dear Editor: Re: railway crossing at 13 and Argyle in West Vancouver. Ambleside bushes obscure the track for drivers approach- ing the track, and just before the stop sign a large maple tree sticks our hiding the track's warning lights. The stop sign is set about five feet high. To its left look- ing toward the tracks stands a telephone post, to the right a sign about the same height denoting a cycle path. If the driver approaches the stop sign at a particular angle the three mentioned objects obscure the warning lights behind them. Drivers at this intersection also have three lanes coming into pedestrians, dogs on leashes, baby carriages with babies, skate-boarders, bicy- clists and inline skaters. Quite a few items to check while also watching for the lights which are set high enough to be obscured by the roofs of many cars.
