Dear Editor: Two disparate news items occurred recently, both in- volving Mr. Doug Collins: one where in the Zundel case, he was advocating a free press and the other wherein he was apparently being stifled by the B.C. Press Council. We middle-aged Cana- dians have always ap- preciated the fact that we have complete freedom to State what we believe pro- vided it is not treason, sedi- tion, slander or libel. You can state what you believe even though others disbelieve you. During our lifetime, our courts have supported the tights of well-intentioned bigots such as Morinons and Jehovah's Witnesses to call on us and to explain what delightful spiritual rewards await us, if we will only listen.
