ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE C3 - Friday, September 7, 1984 - North Shore News “~ % | Pay | Pleasant people at Pat’s Place HERE IS nothing better to start off the even- ing’s dining experience than to be met by a warm, friendly person who exhibits a smile and welcomes you to the restaurant. Being met in this manner gives me the feeling that the people who manage the restaurant care about first impressions. And, I tend to believe this attention to detail carries over to other areas of the restaurant operation. From the moment my com- panion and I arrived at Pat's Place at 445 — 13th Street in West Vancouver we felt comfortable. We were met by a very pleasant person who escorted us to our table and the service provided throughout the evening by our waitress Rita was beyond reproach. For appetizers we selected the artichoke hearts and mushroom bottoms in di- jOnaisse sauce ($3.25) and the golden nuggets of crab (breaded and deep fried) with a cocktail sauce ($4.95). By LEN SLADE The dijonaisse sauce was very smooth yet did not have a heavy mustard taste. The golden nuggets of crab were a good size and delicious. The cocktail sauce was tangy but not hot. It would take countless visits to sample the twenty- one hot and cold appetizers that vary in price from $1.75 for soup to $8.50 for a Caesar salad for two. The dinner entrees provide an interesting selection of five seafood combinations, chicken, veal, lamb and steak. Prices are from $9.45 for the bounty of sea crepes to $14.95 for the marseilles style seafood plate. We both selected veal for Our main courses. My com- How do you peel?
