THE FINAL figures are in and while some of the
federal election vote totals have changed, the final

standings have not.

Official vote counts were
carried out last week at both
North Vancouver-Burnaby
and Capilano Elections
Canada offices, bringing the
election on the North Shore
to an official end and con-
firming the PC landslide
here

The count in North Van.
Burnaby saw Chuck Cook
wind up with four votes
fewer than he had election
night but his 21,750 total
was still more than he need-
ed for victory

Liberal lona Campagnolo
picked up 92 votes tn the
final count to finish 7,429
votes back at 14,321 while
third place finisher David
Schreck saw his election
night total of 11,514 votes
jump to 12,802 after the of
ficial count

Phil Marsh (376) votes),
Betty Nickerson (217 votes)
and John Clarke (174 votes)
all gained a single vote in the

official count, while there

In Capilano, Mary Collins
actually increased her lead,
gaining 79 votes in the final
count to finish with 28,616
while Dave Brousson of the
Liberals lost 103 votes to end
up with 13,575. Larry
Whaley of the NDP also lost
votes, winding up with 6,310
at the end of the count

Dr Wally Thomas of the
Gareens stayed at 747 votes,
independent candidate Bar-
ne Wall lost t7) votes to
finish with 643, the total for
fifth place finisher Richard
“Phe Troll’) Schaller stayed
at S90 votes, and last place
