Coquihalla watch

BCAA WILL introduce a courtesy
road patrol on the Coquihalla
Highway this summer to assist
motorists travelling to and from
Expo 86.

Beginning on the Canada Day
holiday, BCAA (British Columbia
Automobile Association) spon-
sored a mobile phone-equipped
service vehicle patrolling the
highway each day between Hope
and) Merritt, The service will
operate from 8 a.m. to § p.m., and

will continue through Labour Day.

“The Coquihalla Highway is
proving very popular with British
Columbians and _ visitors alike,’
said BCAA president Andrew
Makin.

Al present BCAA contractors
serve the Coquihalla Highway with
tow trucks based in Hope and
Merritt. The courtesy patrol will be
in addition to the regular emergen-
cy road service.
