Choreographers, dancers, musicians, com. posers and actors from across Canada will work at SFU with expert directors in combining the elements of dance, music and theatre. The resulting choreography will have an unprecedented sense of immediacy and vibrancy. The seminar’s collabora- tions will be guided by Robert Cohan, Artistic Director of London's Con- temporary Dance Theatre and Phyllis Lamhut, renowned New York dancer, as choreographic directors; Michael J. Baker of Toronto as musical director; and Penelope Stella, SFU faculty member, as theatre director. Santa Aloi and Grant Strate of SFU's dance program will te instructors in modern dance and ballet. This third National Choreographic Seminar is modelled on the Gulbenkian Summer School in England, and is co-sponsored by Simon Fraser University and the Dance in Canada Association.
