Camper cooks

A NORTH Vancouver man suffered second and third-
degree burns to his hands and arms after his camper steve
exploded Sunday morning.

According to North Vancouver District chief fire pre-
vention officer Brian Stegavig, Archie Ward's pickup
camper was parked behind the Avalon Hotel on Marine
Drive. When Ward turned on the stove, it blew.

The camper was destroyed in the fire.

ABBOTSFORD POLICE have not ruled out the connec-
tion between a letter sent to the North Vancouver RCMP
in early Movember and the Abbotsford murderer.

“Hts still under investigation” said Abbotsford Police
Const. Elly Sawehuk on Wednesday. ;

The letter arrived at the North Vaacouver RCMP
detachment on Nov. 6. Abbotsford teenager Tanya Smith
was brutally murdered on Oct. 14 by a stranger.

A §3-YEAR-OLD West Vancouver man was fined $3,000
on Nov. 21 in connection with charges that he did not file
three years’ worth of incomeé tax returns,

Crawford Grant Edwards pleaded guilty to three
charges involving tax returns for 1991, 1992 and 1993,

According to the Income Tax Act, Edwards has until
Jan. 15 to file all the returns unless he applies for an exten-
