This event is unique to Canada

The object is to vote for 1993
cars, vans and trucks leading up
to the Car of the Year Awards in .
January, 1993.

Vehicles are grouped into seven
different categories: Best New
Economy Car, Best New Family
Car, Best New Luxury Car,’ Best
New Sports Car, Best New
Van/Wagon, Best New Light
Truck/Sporty Utility, and Best
New Performance Car.

Journalists rate 10 features of
each car — such as engine per-
formance, driver and passenger
comfort, fit and finish, and value
for price — with a possible max-
imum of 100 points.

The winners in each category
teceive an award at the AJAC
Awards night in January.

The reason this event is so
Special is because it is a rare op-
portunity for journalists to drive
cars back-to-back. Normally,
automobiles in the same class are
driven months apart in the course
of the year, usually at the time
