Magnussen Recreation Cen-
tre after North Vancouver
District awarded the con-
tract to a local .ompany in
the third round wu tenders.

Darwin Construction Ltd. of
North Vancouver won the
$5,164,000 contract for an expan-
sion project that will add approx-
imately 30,000 square feet to the
recreation centre.

Designed by project architect
Terry Barkley. the facility’s ex-
pansion will include a wave pool,
toddler pool and whirlpool. a
weight and fitness room, steam
room, a multi-purpose room for
seniors and teenagers and space
for maintenance.
