plagued by an internal dissent that started almost the day
he won the 1986 Whistler leadership convention. Many
nation of four backbenchers from the Socred caucus, people are already looking to other prominent Socreds,
Premier Bill Vander Zalm is once again charting stormy such as Grace McCarthy and Brian Smith, as potential
political waters. But the recent Socred probiems are party leaders. Inquiring Reporter asks:
