Vancouver District held in November 1982 on the nuclear weapons free zone was financed by private donations to avoid anv suggestion that council was spen- ding public money in an area in which they had no jurisdiction. West Vancouver District is not represented on the committee and has not officially participated in any meetings to date, although Sharp suid residents of the district have attended planning sessions.
