‘Adults skate

AN ADULT community group
organized 18 years ago for the
pleasure of skating opens its 1988
season Oct. 6 at the Karen
Magnussen Arena.

Founded in 1975, the Pleasure
Skaters group features skaters aged
from 18 to 89 years, with the
oldest regular participant
celebrating his 89th birthday on ice
last February.

Skating to the strains of live
organ music, the group meets at
8:15 p.m. for two hours every
Thursday until March; adults of all
skating levels are welcome to at-
tend, and emphasis is on pleasure,
not style.
