if I'd bury a dog for him,”
explained Roberts, who
created the company on the

single ad. “I couldn't believe
it. My phone was going
nuts.”

Roberts often turns away
business, telling prospective
chents they can handle the
job themselves.

“The first call I had was a
girl in tears,” he said.
She was pregnant and didn't
know how to tell her boy-
friend. 1 couldn't take
money from this girl. I told
her to try and call the guy.
She called me back and said
she told him and everything
was fine.”

Roberts said he has been
physically threatened only
once so far, and he learned
from that expenence never
to pass on bad news to a
drunk in a bar. He had been
hired by a lady to tell her
boyfmend the romance was
over

“Who in the hell do you
think you are to tell me
that,” the belligerent boy-
fmend told Roberts. “What's
stopping me from busting
you in the mouth?”
