FRUITPORT, Mich.
(UPT) - Gay Richmond says
she doesn't mind being
called the oldest motorcycle
mama in her gang.

“I’m healthier now than
ever before,” says the 76-
year-old Warley Davidson
owner, who has been riding
for 50 years. She is the oldest
active member of the Motor
Maids, an affiliate of the
American Motorcycle
Association.

Mrs. Raymond said in her
half century of biking she
has been to California twice,
the East Coast once and
nearly every state in bdet-
ween. She estimated she has
logged half a million miles
on her big Harley - and never
has had an accident.

She claims the biking has
kept her active and healthy
because of “all of the open
air”, and she vows to ride as
long as her body allows.

Mrs. Raymond said when
she revs up her Harley it is
only for pleasure. She never
has raced her motorcycle.

Despite her un-
conventional mode _ of
transportatian, she doesn't
beheve she is a pioncer for
women's rights. ~

“I've got enough nghts
when IJ just ride my
motorcycle 1 don't need to
fight for anymore,” she said.
