Leslie fane Tyrell is the owner of Leslie Jane boutique, which is nestled in the heart of Ambleside at 1480 Marine Drive and offers unique clothing and stylish accent pieces. She recently invited her staff to Cafe de Paris for an evening of dining and festive fan. The plan was for everyone to meet at the cafe, presents to be exchanged, dinner to be enjoyed and lots of merrymaking to ensue. But Lestie’s gals had something else up their collective sleeves. Having learned that the longtime West Van merchant had never ridden in a fimousine, the girls decided to surprise her with that experience. They gathered at party-master Yvonne Young's house, piled into a rented limo, glided over to the lady of honor’s place and picked her up in style. Very chi-chi. . It rained but nobody cared. Pop went the cork. Champagne for all. The car filled with laugh- ter during the ride through the North Shore, into Stanley Park and over to the cafe where every: one delighted in fine cuisine courtesy of Leslie. The gift rules were changed too. Everyone exchanged wrapping paper, bur the presents were reserved for one very surprised lady. Leslie received bunches of lavender, uift wrap, a book, a hand-made tree ornament, an 1 lots of hugs. It was a nice way to show appreciation for a super person and share best wishes for 1998.
