reports it's on pace for a record year

Port statistics show tonnage totals
up 23% for the first six months of
1995 from the same period in 1994, °

the port handled 37.9 million tonnes
compared to 30.9 million tonnes dur-
ing the first half of $994, -.-

“These statistics point to a strong
gain.in many Canadian product sec-
tors, and “the continued: positive
impact of a relatively low Canadian
dollar combined. with aggressive
marketing by shippers and terminal
operators,” said Vancouver Port
Corp. president Norman Stark.
