THE BRITISH Columbia Lung
Association (BCLA) is offering
asthmatics a free quarterly
newsletter called Living With
Asthma to help them learn more
about the disease.

The newsletter, its first edition
coming out this fall, will provide
articles on the latest developments
in asthma treatment, research
news, tips on breathing easier as
well as coping strategies to deal
with asthma more effectively.

More than 100,000 British Col-
umbians suffer from asthma, a
chronic lung disease that can
make breathing difficult, leave a
person gasping for air and in
some cases, lead to fatalities.

tive lives if they understand how

Ablog-Morrant, BCLA’s director
of health education and program
services.

Marking -its 85th anniversary
this year, BCLA is a voluntary
health agency with 130,000 regular
supporters across the province.
