More than 6,000
young soccer players
will invade the playing
fields of the North
Shore this weekend to
kick off the youth
soccer season.

And the sheer magnitude
of games to be played by the

youths, from ages six to 18
will strain the available

facilities to the limit.

Currently involved in the
Premier and Centennial
leagues are 222 teams. Each
of these teams has an

average of 16 players and 52.

of the teams will be com-
peting in the girls leagues.

In addition, there will be
at least 2,500 Pee Wee
players (aged six to‘ nine)
competing.
