By PAT RICH More than 6,000 young soccer players will invade the playing fields of the North Shore this weekend to kick off the youth soccer season. And the sheer magnitude of games to be played by the youths, from ages six to 18 will strain the available facilities to the limit. Currently involved in the Premier and Centennial leagues are 222 teams. Each of these teams has an average of 16 players and 52. of the teams will be com- peting in the girls leagues. In addition, there will be at least 2,500 Pee Wee players (aged six to‘ nine) competing. For the players in the boys and girls Premier and winter tune-ups > 3900 fixed rate plus parts for M.G.’s, Trumph, Jaguar, Rover, Tayota, Datsun, Mazda and also all domestic cars. North Shore Youth Soccer Association (NSYSA) President Janet Petersen said the number of players in- volved “is up a bit from last year.” She said the league is only up by about two teams this year, but more teams may still join.
