AINALI - Me. Leonard Ernest Ainali, age
78, of Apartment 4, 371-A East First,
North Vancouver, died suddenly on May
27, 1990. A long time resident of B.C.,

Mr. Ainati is mourned by a sister Mrs.
Margaret Fowler of Edmonton, a brother
Mr. Leo Marjanen (and wife Edith) of
Sidney, 8.C., his hrother-in-law Mr. Nels
tundine of North Vancouver, his niece
Mrs, Merle Virgl (and husband Frank) of
North Vancouver, various nieces and
nephews, and numerous good friends. If
desired, memorial donations may be
made to the B.C. Heart Fund.

BENDER - Deatit occured suddenly at
Enderby, B.C. on June 15, 1990, of Mr.
Alvin Henry Bender, 2 resident ‘of Bur-
ton, B.C. for the past 9 years, formerly
of New Westminster, 8.C. and Van-
couver. Born in Eatonia, Saskatchewan
on February 26, 1935 and grew up in
the Brooks area of Alberta. He worked as
an electrician and a heavy duty
mechanic. He enjoyed sports, coached
hockey and played golf, Mr. Bender was
a policeman in New Westminster for a
few years. He leaves his mather Martha
Jackson of Brooks, Alberta, 2 brothers
and three sisters, Gordon Jackson of
High River, Alberta, Ron Jackson ot
Roswell, New Mexico, Mrs. Bill (Alice)
Featherston, Mrs. Jim (Shirley) Draper,
doth of Victoria, B.C. and Marlene Mc-
Charles of Brooks, Alberta, nieces and
nephews and many friends with special
frisnd Mary Penno, Nakusp, B.C.
Memorial service was held at the Burton
Church, Burton, B.C. on Tuesday, June
19, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral service
was held at the Smith Funeral Home,
Brooks, Alberta on Friday, June 22, 1990
at 11:00 a.m. followed by cremation.
Friends may make memorial contribu-
tions to the Nakusp Hospital, Nakusp,
B.C. VOG 1RO or to the Heart Fund.

LAY - Lois Marie (Barry), loving mother
and good friend, passed away peacefully
June 16, 1990 in her 55th year. Surviv-
ed by her toving children Siri and Tim,
son-in-law Matk, brothers John Osmond
Barry and Donald Barry and lovingly
remembered by Ervine Lay, Joe and Jn-
gtid fAaruska, Anika Basty, Georgina
Barry and many friends. A funeral mass
will be held June 22 at 10:00 a.m. in
St. Edmends Catholic Church, 545
Mahon Ave, North Vancouver. (nterment
to fallaw at North Vancouver Cemetery.

CUMBERLAND - Elsie, born in Birm-
ingham, England, October 31, 1896,
passed away in her 94th year. She was
predeseased by her husband Douglas in
1973. She will be lovingly semembered
by her daughter Pamela and husband
Bill Schadt; son Raymond and wife Lois;
6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren,
as well as relatives in Engtand. Many
thanks to the staff and residents of Lyna
Valley Lodge. A funeral service will be
held st 12 noon on Saturday, June 23 in
the Boal Chapel of First Memorial
Funeral Services. No flowers by request.

DEKUR - William passed away June 19,
1990 after 2 lengthy illness. Survived by
his loving family and friends. Funeral
service was held on Friday, June 22 at
2:00 p.m. in the Hollyburn Funeral
Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Var-
couver, with the venerable Lou Rivers
officiating. Interment to follow in the
Capilano View Cemetery.
