Right off the bat we can look forward to a bang-up smorgas- bord of stimulating suggestions for hanging on to that sparkle in your eye. Or for getting it back, if you’re feeling frail. It’s a Seniors’ Fair, and it's on this coming Friday, the 16th, at North Shore Neighbourhood House on 2nd Street, in the sec- ond biock east ef Lonsdale. From 10 in the moming ‘till three in the afternoon, you can look, listen, pick up brochures, eat delicious things and drink various beverages while other folk dance and sing and show off. And it’s all free. The Fair is for seniors only. you see. A large part of the funding for the Fair has come directly from what used to be known as the Lower Lonsdale branch of the Royal Bank of Canada. They shut up shop some time ago, and perhaps this is a “thank you” for the years together. Nice, anyway. All the food and drink is thanks to them. From the look of the pro- gramme, you'll be able to get information for pursuit of ail sorts of stimulation and excite- ment, as well as helping you make the most of these senior years. NSCU has warm ties with the Neighbourhood House — one of their staff sits on the board of directors — and they’ve added to the comfort level in otherways as well. They are what you'd call a major sponsor. For this Seniors” shindig the Credit Union got the bright idea of installing a bank machine for the day, so you and T could practise on the darn thing. I've always Steered clear of them, being technologically chal- lenged,{i.e. dumb), so Fil wel- come instruction without a bunch of 10-year-olds standing by, jeering.
