The Japanese team managed 107.30 points. Top individual placing went to Orlando Florida’s 12- year-old member of Brown’s Gymnastics Club racked up 36.40 points. Sandra Botnen, 15; and Tracy Wilson, 17, both of West Vancouver and both of the North Shore’s team number one finished fourth and fifth Brandy Johnson. The Institute of Technology respectively with 35.95 and 35.75 totals. Botnen, the meet’s defending all-round champion, is currently rank- ed fifth in Canada. The other two members of the North Shore team, Miriam Michel and Kristen Wingfield, also finished in the top 20. All top eight in- dividual finishers were within -a single point of Johnson. The North Shore’s team number two finished eighth overall with 101.95 points and were led by 14th-place finisher Lisa Onno. The 14- year-old ran up a 34.25 point total. The 16-year-old did manage, however, to finish second on the uneven bars. Saturday's competition featured 53 gymnasts from 14 gymnastic teams from the United States, Japan, and Canada.
