The North Shore high school placed fourth overall in the Vancouver and North Shore novice championships Dec. 10 and seventh in the Simon Fraser Invitational Dec. 15. The novice championship featured wrestlers who have never qualified before for the B.C. championships, placing out of the top four finishers. Competition was divided into senior and grade regardless of age) divisions as well as weight classes. Windsor, the only other North Shore school present, finished first in the grade eight team total with 69 points. Earning blue ribbons for their efforts were grade eights Paul Hetherington (35 kg), Trevor Hale (70 kg) and Aaron Waine (Heavyweight) and senior Doug Mc- Williams (70 kg). Earning second place in grade eight competition for the Dukes were Rich Hamer- Jackson (35 kg), Greg Lee (38 kg), Colin Hoodspith (41 kg), Roy Molby (48 kg) and Chuck McFarlane (51 kg). Finishing third were Chris Stoicic (66 ke). Finishing first for Carson nd--Glen-— in grade eight competition was Vic Decotiis (48 kg) while Zolty Constantineau earned a silver in the 66 kg class. Best senior performance came from John Setticasi, who won the 48 kg class. Joiming him with second place finishes were Arash Mehrvaarzan (60 kg), Herald Serrant (88 kg) and Pip Nielsen (63 kg). Fourth place winners were Allan Cheng (60 kg), Danny Payne (57 kg), Darryl Douglas (51 kg), Sean Johnson (66 kg), Trevor Thurston (70 kg) and In the Simon Fraser In- vitational, Carson Graham The party Ss over...
