West Vancouver police
had their first busy weekend
of beach patrols and liquor
seizures of the season, last
weekend, as sunny weather
meant the start of outdoor
drinking and partying.

A West Vancouver Police
spokesman said that police
seized 86 bortles of beer and
four bottles of wine in nine
s€perate incidents on
beaches in the municipality.

He said that the depart-
ment will have extra
pohcemen doing beach
patrol-on weekends now that
the weather is warmer
