This positive purveyor of “healthy food, not health food” opened in mid- -May in the bright Bellevue Avenue storefront occu- pied briefly by the less-than- inspired Cafe Ambles, into which few folk ambled, mainly because there was little to recommend that cappuccino bar's patronage beyond its being another caffeine pu Though blessed with a prime Bellevue location, Cafe Ambles missed the bistro bys entirely by failing to offer anything interest- ing to eat. And regardless of what press teports might have you lieve, the health-conscious and sober folk of the ‘90s like to eat. They just prefer to eat some- thing that promises to do them some good and perhaps be invig- orating and non-artery-clogging and even do the rest of the world some good at the same time. O-tooz doesn’t profess to offer all of the above with each order, but it comes close. its menu exudes positive thinking, reduced calories, increased fibre and cruciferous crusading. It reflects an admirable approach to dining that bursts with a gleeful healthful glow. But it thankfully resists the temptation to descend into food snobbism and fanaticism.
