Some have told me that this
method of entering schools was
done all over. Children would iine
up outside, and when the bell rang
and they were quiet, they would

’ proceed to their classrooms in an

orderly fashion.
The materials used. in- constr-

uction of this school include brick
for bearing walls along with a
reinforced concrete framework,
and bricks for cladding with cut
stone ornamentation.

ern gymnasium has also been built
at the rear of the school,
- Today, Queen Mary is used on-
ly as an elementary school, and
has operated as a community
sckool since.1974.
