‘Wellness’ discussed

THE NORTH Shore Neighbour-
hood House is hosting a series of
fectures designed to explore
various wellness issues.

The lectures will be presented
by Lynne Cove, a registered nurse
and level III trainer of fitness
leaders.

Cove opened her own private
practice as a wellness counsellor in
1986 and presently offers creative
well-being courses, seminars and
private counselling sessions to
groups and individuals. She also
teaches Tai Chi and is currently a
consultant for a community-based
wellness program for older adults,

The first lecture of the series
begins on Monday, Feb. 11, be-
tween 7 and 9 p.m. The topic will
be Building Self Esteem. Partici-
pants will study beliefs, attitudes,

thoughts and feelings that influ-
ence their health and well-being.

Subsequent lectures, al! of
which are scheduled between 7
and 9 p.m., are: Self Esteem and
the Inner Child on Monday, Feb.
18; Assertiveness and Self Esteem
on Monday, Feb. 25;
Codependency and Self Esteem on
Monday, March 4; Women's
Issues and Self Esteem on Mon-
day, March 11; and Creating An
Action Plan For Self Esteem on
Monday, March 18.

The fee for each lecture is $10
and, because space is limited, par-
ticipants are asked to pre-register.
