The boat, outfitted with a 45 horsepower Mercury motor, fishing gear snd life jackets, was rented Dec. 30, 1986. Police say the marina customer provided a false name and a false vehicle licence numbcr. The boat and motor were recovered in February 1987 from a floating Home in Langley by the RCMP marine division. In- vestigators determined the original serial number on the boat had been removed and replaced with a serial number from another at.
