Sh / Shoplifter sentenced to six months in jail RUSSELL Keith Durocher loaded up a Wal-Mart sports bag with 12 pairs of jeans on June 13 at Capilano Mall. The 39-year-old Vancouver man walked passed the cashiers without pa ing for the jeans or the bag, The stolen goods were worth $263. They cost Durocher six months in jail, Durocher pleaded guilty to shoplifting the items three days after being caught by the store's security, North Vancouver provincial court Judge Reginald Grandison took into account Durocher’s criminal record during sentencing. Durocher’s record started in 1974 and contains more than 30 convictions since then. Durocher has been sentenced for thefts, robberies, fraud, drug possession, impaired driving, resisting arrest and failing to show up at court, according to police. Judge Grandison placed Durocher on 24 months’ pro- bation after his jail term expires.
