RINCE CHARLES and Princess Diana have,
predictably, charmed and delighted all whiom they
-have met, and won the hearts of British Colum-
bians everywhere. Nevertheless, we still harbor amongst
us a few sourpusses who seize on every occasion to at-
‘|. tack Canada’s royalty.

tional monarchy. Like our home-grown grouches, they
deserve pity for thzir failure to grasp the key role of
‘the monarchy in preserving our democratic freedoms.
