According to residents of the area, the shooting ap- pears to have taken place be- tween 1] and 130 am Thursday — not 4 amas orginally reported and the victim, described as a curly-haired male, was taken from the scene by ambulance about an hour later. One res ident of the area remembers being awoken sometime atter |} am “by what sounded ke a door being slammed” which may have been the shot being fired Neighbors of the uniden ufied man were being ques- tioned as late as 4 am Thursday but police were saying littl even then, other than that a shooting had taken place. So far, the police have said only that the incident was not serious and that details are being kept secret because of ‘the public inter- est’'.
