For this issue, I sought out folks who have been around for a while to find out what Christmas was like in years gone by. I grew up on the praines and was lucky to get one present. | think people had a deeper feeling for Chnstmas and religion was more impor- tant. But Christmas is sull a happy, wonderful time. Assessment Authority has lost its bid to appeal a B.C. Appeal Court ruling that property taxes cannot be collected on partially-completed buildings. The Supreme Court refus- ed Monday to allow an ap- peal of the decision.
