TWO MORE candidates have
entered the race for the hotly
contested Liberal nomination
in North Vancouver-
Lonsdale.

Sid Mirhashemy, an eight-
year resident of the riding,
has entered the race on a
diversity-is-strength theme.

“It is this diversity that
gives us the advantage to suc-
cessfully understand cultural
differences and thus be suc-
cessful in the world market,”
said Mirhashemy. Currently,
Mirhashemy is a sales and
leasing consultant at Dick
Irwin Chevrolet Oldsmobile

in North Vancouver,
Mirhashemy earned a
mechanical engineering and
industria! management desig-
nation from the University of
Texas at Austin in 1973.
Katherine Whittred, a 30-
year resident of North
Vancouver, has also jumped

into the race.

ond candidate for the Liberal
nomination that lives in the
