Layton in North Vancouver provincial court Nov. 19: Christopher Thomas Merck received a conditional discharge and was placed on probation for six months after the 23-year-old North Vancouver man pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. Before Judge 3.K. Shaw in North Vancouver provincial court Nov. 18: Gary Beniusis received a suspended sentence and was placed on probation for two years after the 31-year-old North Vancouver man was found guilty of assaulting a female. Mabel Lorraine Gal! received a suspended sentence and was placed on probation for three years after the 63-year-old North Vancouver woman pleaded guilty to wilfully setting fire to two chairs that could have caused a building at 231 West Kensington Crescent to catch fire. Glen Alexander Dickie received a conditional discharge, was placed on probation for six months and was ordered to pay $69.10 in. restitution after the 22-year-old North Vancouver man pleaded guilty to a charge of mischief laid against him ir connection with a Sept. 8 incident in which a B.C. Tel telephone receiver was pulled from a phone. Before Judge J.B. Paradis in North Vancouver provincial court Nov. 17: Charges of possessing housebreaking instruments (two knives) and theft under $1,000 were dismissed against Peter Dvorak. The 20-year-old North Vancouver man was originally charged in connection with an April 25 incident in which items from a 1972 Datsun were alleged 10 have been stolen. William Carter, 30, of West Vancouver and Bernard Singh Kooner, 29, of North Vancouver received suspended sentences, were placed on probation for six months and ordered to perform 15 hours of community work service after the two pleaded guilty to a charge of mischief after a window at the North Vancouver School District 44 offices was dismantled. Before Judge R.D. Grandison in West Varcouver provincial court Nov. 10: Rodne Michael Land was fined $100 aftr the 28-year-old Langley man pleaded guilty to driving without a driver’s licence. He was also fined $75 for failing to appear for a scheduled court date. Kelly Mills was fined $50 after the 27-year-old West Vancouver man pleaded guilty to failing to remain at the scene of an accident. _ Terrilee Moore was tined $90 ‘after the 18-year-old West Van- couver woman pleaded guilty to theft under $1,000 in connection with merchandise taken from The Bay. Grandison in West Vancouver provincial court Nov. 9: Tyson Specht received a suspended séntence and was placed on probation for four months after the 18-year-old West Vancouver man pleaded guilty to breeching the terms cf his probation by breaking a 1 a.m. to 6 p.m. curfew. Tory Best was fined $600 and prohibited from driving for three years after the 19-year-old West Vancouver man pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and failing to stop when ordered to do so.
