Family Fun

For an exciting day-trip, overnight camp-
out, or cycling excursion, discover Newcas-
tle Island Marine Provincial Park in
Nanaimo, Board one of our beautiful B.C.
Ferries at Horseshoe Bay on foot, bike, or in
your car to Nanaimo. On arriving at
Depariure Bay, follow the signs to Newcas-
tle Islanci foot-ferry, approximately one
mile south. Newcastle Fun Ferry leaves the
dock behind Civic Arena daily, on the
hour, beginning at 10:00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m,
returning hourly on the half hour. Fares
$2.50 tor adults return, $1.50 for children
4-12, and senicrs, return. The Park provides
you with full picnic and camping facilities,
fishing, hiking and bike trail, concessions
and hours of exploring historic evidence.
