Carl Christopher Joseph, 30, was charged in connection with a Dec. 29 incident in North Vancouver in which 2 23-year-old North Vancouver man suffered several knife wounds. Joseph is scheduled to appear Feb. 28 in Vancouver county court to set a trial date on the charge. Skier rescued from Grouse SEARCH AND rescue teams located and evacuated a 50-year-old skier who went missing Monday on Grouse Mountain. The man was reported missing at about 3 p.m. Monday. According to North Shore Rescue Team searchmaster Ron Royston, Lions Bay and Coquitlam search and rescue teams assisted Grouse staff and the local search team during the hunt for the missing man. The man, who had skied out of bounds, was located and lifted to safety by helicopter Tuesday morning. Royston’s preliminary report to press time Tuesday indicated that the skier was in good shape. More than 20 centimetres of snow fell over a 12-hour period during the search. NV man fined for assault A 30-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was fined $1,200 recently in North Vancouver provincial court after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily harm. Donald Francis Bell pleaded guilty Feb. 7 to the charge, which was laid in connection with a Feb. 24, 1989 incident in which 2 man was assaulted and injured. Judge J.L.
