All three North Shore mountains have cranked up their lifts to herald the official arrival of yet another season on the North Shore slopes. Seymour Mountain, the winner of the “first to open” competition, started it off fast weekend. The Seymour slope crew Managed to operate the Goldie Rope Tow on just 25 centimetres of snow. Much has fallen since then — a Thursday press release declared “3.5 feer of snow at mid-mountain!™ The North Vancouver mountain plans Strap on th chairlifts today, with the Mystery chair operating from 10 am. to 10 p.m; Brockton from 11am. to 4 p.m AIL ski and snowboard lessons will begin tomorrow, The tobaggan area is also open today and this weekend. Grouse Mountain, meanwhile, has combined its snowmaking machinery with the natural process to give it a solid base on the Cur. So much so that the North Vancouver four-season resort will be operating the Cut chair trom 9 a.m. to 10 pom. roday. The new Sunnse quad chair, along with the Eagle chair and Panorama, will be in operation from 8:30 a.m. to 1) p.m today. The full operation hours continue this weekend, with Cypress Bowl running all their lifts from 3 am. to Pb p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.
