year-olds to participate in a study of
how family members cope with the
stresses and daily hassles of life.
Two studies are underway: one
involves children of two-parent
families, and the other study will
focus on stress and coping in single-
mothers and their children. An hon-
orarium is offered for families who

receive an information handbook on
helping children cope with stress.

WILD ABOUT ANIMALS: West
Vancouver Recreation Centre is
inviting wildlife enthusiasts to two
upcoming workshops. “Owl Prowl”,
which runs from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on
Thursday, March 7, and “ Grizzly
and Black Bears of B.C.” which is
offered from 1 to 2:15 p.m, on
Thursday, March 21, are two
wildlife presentations that. will pro-
vide an in-depth look at the behav-
iors, habitats and physical charac-
