The pot is electric, and is
called a ‘‘Multichef’’, which
is a good name for it because
it will do everything from
soup to fondue to meatballs
to doughnuts.

Unfortunately, it cannot
be submerged, this control,
like the old-fashioned fry-
ing-pans, but the surfaces of
